Often, when a Buyer is ready to close on their new home, they ask us How To Perform a Final Walkthrough which we have been talking about throughout the process.

The Final Walk-through is an important step for you, as the buyer, to be used quick assessment of the home before closing to confirm that everything in the house is in order. It is used to verify that there are no major damages to the property or home since the buyer agreed to the purchase. Ideally, you will be performing the final walkthrough after the seller has moved and prior to closing on the home.  You want to make sure the home was not damaged while the seller moved out, and to ensure the home is in the condition the buyer agreed to in the offer.

First of all, as we have been with you every step of the way so far, we will be with you at your final walkthrough as well to support and assist you.  Here are some steps to give you an idea of what is involved, and here is a link to a Final Walkthrough Checklist to be used as a guide.
