Beautiful Mansion on The Gulf in Naples is Sold and Torn Down

Port Royal in Naples is one of the most exclusive addresses in the world, and a Port Royal mansion right on the Gulf of Mexico which sold in January for $22.5M, was just torn down a couple weeks ago. Wait, What? You read that correct, the highest priced home to sell in Naples this year (Just two houses down from where the priciest home to ever sell in SW Florida used to stand) was turned to rubble just a couple months after it was purchased.

According to Naples Luxury Realtor, Janet Berry with Premiere Plus Realty, this is one of 9 homes to sell in the Port Royal Neighborhood this year, and it is the highest priced sale in Naples so far in 2019.

Janet Berry says there were 38 homes sales in the Port Royal Neighborhood in Naples in 20128, with an average sale price of $10,371,937.

The home was built in 1986, had three bedrooms, three bathrooms and 6,209 square feet of space.

Neighboring the property is a large barren parcel where the priciest home to ever sell in Southwest Florida went for $48.8 million in June 2018 and was demolished five months later.

That six-bedroom, nine-bathroom mansion with 10,825 square feet of space at 2500 Gordon Drive was built in 1994 on 5.49 acres overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.

Homes previously on that plot had welcomed presidents and many other dignitaries over the past 81 years.
